  • Support the Crew Leader by employing various skills as part of a crew or independently.


Qualifications and Skills

  • 1+ Years’ experience in rough carpentry/general labour.
  • Possession of basic hand tools.
  • Reliable transportation to shop and/or job sites.
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver projects on time.
  • Capable of climbing ladders and lifting 50+ pounds.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
  • Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
  • Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
  • Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience as welder
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
  • Deftness and attention to detail
  • Proficient in English
  • Professional Certification will be a plus

We are looking for an ambitious Junior Accountant to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks and providing administrative support within the function. You will be guided by and receive training from the Director of Finance and Administration working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances.

Preparing entries to support preparation of financial statements and reporting are a large part of the junior accountant’s day-to-day work. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition. This way it can make the right decisions and accomplish long term success.

Junior Accountant, Buyer – Job Summary:

  • Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
  • Posting of production information daily and monthly.
  • Updating accounts receivable, issuing invoices and posting deposits and payments.
  • Updating accounts payable, matching invoices to purchase orders and packing slips, issuing cheques.
  • Working to improve current purchasing systems.
  • Improving vendor relationships to help obtain lowest price, best quality and longest terms.
  • Developing inventory control and reports for min/max levels.
  • Assisting with monthly account reconciliations.
  • Assisting with reviewing expenses, and job review.
  • Preparing and submitting daily, weekly and monthly informative reports for finance and purchasing.
  • Performing daily bank functions including online capabilities.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
  • Assisting with other accounting projects.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a junior accountant, AR clerk or AP clerk
  • Excellent organizing abilities
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (QuickBooks)


Qualifications: 

  • Accounting Diploma (or strong pursuit of this) is required
